As the most critical point in live fish delivery, the packing and shipping process is the most concern for us in order to send you a live and healty fish products. We prioritize this step carefully to minimize the D.o.A (Dead on Arrival) rate when received.
Once an order is confirmed, we started the packing Procedures as follows:
- Fish Sorting Process – The sorting process were hand-sorted and checked for the size, quantity, and of course the healthiness of the fish;
- Quarantine Process – The quarantine process were the next necessary steps to final check the fish healthiness (some medication may needed in this process, please advice us for specific medications that is acceptable in your country regulations), and also to made the quarantine certificate from National Quarantine Department, This document is vital in live animal, plants, and also aquaculture shipping process;
- Purging Process – Once the fish were quarantined, the purging process is started. The purging process is carried out for 1-2 days. During the purging process no feeding activities takes place, this process were expected to clean the fish stomach so that when packed the fish will not spill the water and raise ammonia;
- Packing & Deliver – On the depature date, the fish were packed with PE plastic bags filled with 1/3 part of fresh clean water and 2/3 parts of oxygen and placed in airline standard Styrofoam box (75cm x 40 cm x 30cm) and we added some gel ice cube to decline the water temp to 18°C, studied shows that in low temperature fish were sedated and have less active. Once the packing process were completed all of the boxes were carefully loaded to vehicle and go directly to cargo;
